TeachTown is the leading provider of education solutions for students diagnosed with autism, developmental and intellectual disabilities, emotional disorders, and speech/language impairments. We are seeking an AI Creative Design Strategist to join our growing Curriculum Team. This role will be responsible for both the strategy and department wide adoption of AI tools and workflows in curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Create an AI Strategy and supporting development processes for the curriculum team

Adapt the curriculum process to use AI, including generative AI, to increase content development accuracy, efficiency, modernization of content and functionality, and customer-identified value

Identify software, tools, and algorithms to enhance curriculum content via interactive media and digital storytelling and provide training on the implementation of these resources to the curriculum development team

Utilize artificial intelligence tools to generate, edit, and manage digital video content and media for students with moderate to severe disabilities and educators who support them

Aid in updating procedural guidelines to ensure continued ethical use of AI-generated content

Produce digital content aligned to curriculum, state standards, and individual learning objectives for students with moderate to severe disabilities and educators who support them

Produce digital content that is developmentally accessible and socially appropriate for students with moderate to severe disabilities from preschool through transition age (i.e., 3-22 years old)

Ensure all published and printed curricula materials are properly formatted - this includes and is not limited to font sizes and styles, page orientation, paragraph styles and formatting, adjusting and editing graphics, fixing missing links, utilizing shape tools, adjusting columns, automatic page numbers, autoflow, inserting/deleting pages, etc.

Support design projects by preparing rough drafts and advising best practices and optimizations throughout the project

Revise drafted designs after feedback has been received; accurately incorporate feedback

Manage multiple projects within design specifications and deadlines

Partner with the Curriculum Development team to design products that support customer needs (considering XML versions for students with visual impairments, etc.)
Required Education and Experience:

At least 2 years of experience with generative AI tools to increase efficiency without reducing accuracy

At least 3+ years of graphic design experience (print & digital) in either a freelance or full-time role for an ed tech or education publishing company

Experience in this area with content for students with moderate to severe disabilities is preferred

Intermediate or advanced level of proficiency in Adobe Suite (including but not limited to Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), QuarkXPress, etc.
