TeachTown is the leading provider of education solutions for students diagnosed with autism, developmental and intellectual disabilities, emotional disorders, and speech/language impairments. Our growing team of professionals is seeking a temporary Warehouse Associate to oversee and support all aspects of warehouse operations.  This position will be based in our Woburn, MA headquarters location and the anticipated hours will be 9 am - 5 pm EST starting in June through September (with a potential to extend.)  Only applicants who reside within a commuting distance (up to 1 hour one way) of Woburn, MA will be considered.

 

Key Responsibilities: Oversee and support all aspects of warehouse operations including but not limited to:

  • Receive and document all incoming inventory and stock items against vendor purchase orders – report discrepancies and escalate issues when needed

  • Assembly of all program related resource kits

  • Pick, pack and ship against all customer orders. Process orders utilizing appropriate carrier: Parcel, LTL, FTL

  • Pick, pack and ship all Product Requests Forms via internal TeachTown personnel.

  • Work with the marketing events team to coordinate shipment of conference materials.

  • Ensure accuracy of all outbound shipments

  • Knowledge of warehouse equipment utilization including but not limited to pallet jacks, scales, packing equipment. 

  • Ensure effective and safe use of said warehouse equipment.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct quarterly cycle counts and annual physical.

  • Work with major vendors and via our vendor portals to request inventory as needed.

  • Procurement of all warehouse related supplies and equipment

  • Maintain inventory controls to ensure audit compliance

  • Implement operational policies and procedures

  • Accurately maintain any company databases including stock and warehouse items

 

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years warehouse experience.

  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management 

  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory control procedures

  • Proficient computer skills.  This includes and is not limited to working knowledge of the MS Office Suite and Google Suite, possessing basic computer data entry skills, operating and loading simple computer programs as required.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Available to work extended hours (seasonal)

  • Setting up layout and ensure efficient space utilization

 

Physical Requirements and Demands:

  • Frequent reaching, grasping, bending, and stooping

  • Frequent pulling and/or pushing up to 50 lbs independently, and occasional pushing and/or pulling up to 50  lbs independently, and greater weights with mechanical automation assistance

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs independently, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50  lbs independently, and greater weights with mechanical automation assistance

  • Must be able to frequently engage in repetitive motions requiring substantial movement of the wrist, hands and/or fingers

  • Adequate vision to read work instructions, job aids and guides, and detect imperfections in finished product

  • Ability to work in environment with limited climate control and varied temperature levels

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in an environment with continual noise, requiring the ability to hear, understand and communicate work instructions and directions while wearing company provided hearing protection

  • Must be able to be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment and vibration
