Job description

In collaboration with the Marketing and Business Development lead - this internship will assist with efforts designed to effectively communicate the Summit Aesthetics brand, our core values, and our commitment to patients; assist with marketing and research functions to support the strategic marketing plan; and serve as a representative for Summit Aesthetics to outside dentists, medical providers, medical and dental staff offices, and other healthcare professionals. This position reports to the External Marketing and Communication lead.

We are seeking an individual who is invested in their own professional growth and willing to fully engage in this opportunity. This is a part time (20 hours per week) position based primarily in-house at our Scottsdale, AZ., office. Scheduling may require alternative or additional working hours as needed.


  • Execution of the summit strategic marketing plan
  • Assist with the creation of measurable marketing objectives; design, develop, and execute marketing projects based upon agreed objectives
  • Assist with a development plan with diverse promotional components to increase company visibility; deliver a clear and effective message about the services we offer, their benefits, and differentiation in relation to competitors
  • Visit referring clinics, acting as a liaison and providing marketing materials to enhance brand awareness
  • Assist with initiatives to help referral sources build and maintain favorable provider perceptions and refer patients with confidence
  • Establish and maintain communication with referring providers and office staff,  boutique business referral networks, and BNI networks as needed (including routine or follow-up visits, emails, and phone calls)
  • Identify referral growth strategy, setting referral growth goals, calculating referral forecasts, and creating plans toward increased market penetration
  • Conduct research to analyze aesthetics outcomes, costs, benchmarks, strategies, aesthetics trends, and the strengths and services of competitors
  • Assist with growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with quarterly VIP events per year
  • Assist with Sponsor / plan / execute 2 - 5 girls night out parties monthly
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or healthcare administration (or equivalent)
  • Strong commitment to personal ethics; proven record of ethics-informed decision-making
  • Reliable self-starter with proven work ethic; ability to work independently and collaborate with managers and employees
  • Exceptional ability to identify problems and formulate creative solutions
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to express ideas in a clear and organized manner
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to efficiently handle multiple projects with changing priorities
  • Adept at learning new concepts, with a keen desire for new challenges
  • Obsessive attention to detail
  • Proven success with B2B and B2C marketing, and proficiency in trends for both
  • Ability to navigate and achieve business impact across a highly matrixed organization
  • Experience developing and implementing successful brand communication strategies
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools, including research methods using data analytics software
  • Digital proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Goggle business, Facebook Events, Eventbrite and social media platforms.
