A TRUE Studio / TRUE cycle Lead Instructor is responsible for creating a cycling “experience” by implementing creative rides, inspirational cues, quality mixed music, and lighting programs. The lead instructor should be confident in all areas of bike safety and teach correct form including accurate RPM’s and knee/hip alignment. The Lead Instructor serves as a mentor to new instructors and organizes team rides and special events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engage members through dynamic, exciting, and motivating class instruction.
• Promote classes through social media and encourage class growth.
• Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to class to greet students and stay 15 minutes after.
• Begin class on time with a prepared ride and cues.
• Select music with clean lyrics that are uplifting and respectful of race, sex and religion.
• Develop rapport with students to foster referrals and member retention.
• Support fellow instructors and encourage one another with team rides & positive affirmation.
• Thorough knowledge of equipment including bikes, sound system, and lights. Report equipment problems/concerns in the Repair & Maintenance Log
• Assist in the cleanliness and organization of the studio.

• Teach Ride101 for beginners, focusing on proper form and bike set up.
• A liaison between the studio owner and fellow instructors.
• Schedule service calls and solving problems with equipment (knowledge of bike repair, sound system and lighting system required)
• Ensure all instructors are teaching safe, technically sound principles
• Nurture new Instructors and maintain highest level of teaching expertise and class building skills
• Positive representation of TRUE Studio / TRUE cycle in the community through media and special events
• Review class growth and determine schedule changes if necessary
• Work to encourage camaraderie among instructors

• Follow all procedures and policies

• Maintain current indoor cycling certification
