Position Summary

A TRUE Studio Yoga Instructor is responsible for delivering a world-class yoga experience to TRUE Yoga clients.  The candidate will cultivate a safe environment for our students through awareness, tranquility, and a sense of community.

Essential Job Duties

• Provide yoga instruction to groups or individuals by teaching TRUE Yoga classes, adhering to the TRUE studio (Arc of Class) sequence and structure at all times.
• Educate students on correct form and alternative postures during their yoga practice
• Maintain positive relationships with students to encourage continued class attendance
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to student needs and concerns, actively listening and engaging in conversation before and after classes. It is essential that instructors are present at the studio 30 minutes prior and 30 minutes after their class instruction
• Continually aspire to teach a challenging and entertaining yoga class
• Effectively promote TRUE studio Teacher trainings and programs to students by announcing and inviting students to upcoming TRUE Studio trainings and programs.
• Keep up to date on the most current information about the yoga industry, TRUE Yoga and their studios by attending instructor communication meetings
• Comply with the minimum qualitative guidelines provided in TRUE Studio   Elevations program.
• Understand and efficiently navigate MindBodyOnline software (MBO) to sign students in, enter packages and memberships.
• Assume full responsibility for scheduled permanent classes and mindful in minimizing the substitution of those class(es).
• Must be respectful of, and at all times compliant with, corporate rules, policies and procedures and management direction

Education, Skills, Qualifications

The Yoga Instructor requires a passion for the yogi lifestyle, completion of 200 - Hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training program, and a minimum of 30 classes instruction experience.  An instructor should serve as a model or example of a healthy and fit individual. Flexibility and agility, as well as strength are critical in this role. Excellent oral communication skills are a must as the instructor will be dictating the demonstration of breathing and postures throughout class.  Professionalism and exceptional interpersonal or people skills are essential for maintaining the high level of customer service required for the position. Current CPR/AED certification and a High School diploma are required
