National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM) is a fast growing, private equity backed leader in the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services market.  We're hiring a Business Development Director to join us on the ground floor of building and scaling our sales organization.

This is a relationship–driven sales role for someone who earns the trust of experienced litigators and articulates what NAM and our neutrals uniquely bring to a particular matter.

What You'll Do

  • Build relationships with commercial litigators across a defined group of mid–market and boutique firms in the New York City metropolitan area by deepening relationships at firms NAM already works with and adding new ones
  • Monitor and communicate trends in practice group growth, moves in the market, and other insights
  • Match attorneys' practices and matter types to make specific introductions to NAM neutrals
  • Represent NAM at bar association events, CLE programs, and ADR conferences
  • Keep record of activity and relationships through active use of the CRM
  • Share your market expertise and insights from firms with internal partners to ensure we are adjusting our marketing and panel development to real demand

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years’ experience selling professional services into mid–market law firms such as ADR, litigation support, e–discovery, court reporting, expert services, or related legal–adjacent field
  • A relationship–first mindset and use of good judgment about when to carry a conversation yourself and when to bring in an expert
  • Self–motivation and independent management of your time and activities
  • Willing to travel across the New York City metropolitan area regularly

What We Offer

Base salary: $150,000–$175,000 per year (good faith estimate). Total target compensation, including incentive pay tied to relationship milestones and case volume generated, is expected to fall in the $250,000+ range.

Benefits & Other Eligible Compensation: Includes health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, annual bonus, and additional voluntary benefits.
