This internship places you directly within our Domestic Sales team, where you will help shape strategy for key retail accounts and gain hands-on experience in customer engagement, trade shows, and sales execution.

This 12-week paid summer internship is designed for someone who is outgoing, analytical, and excited to be externally facing.

Internship Overview:

You will not be observing from the sidelines. This summer internship is designed to immerse you in key retailer strategy and external account exposure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting a deep-dive analysis of identified key retail partners
  • Evaluating what drives growth and success within priority accounts
  • Supporting strategy development for calling on and expanding sales within key retailers
  • Collaborating with internal team members and distributor partners to understand account expectations and best practices
  • Assisting in developing structured submission and presentation processes for new or non-review customers
  • Supporting research related to innovative product submissions and account positioning
  • Participating in trade shows, sales meetings, and select customer interactions when applicable

Final Internship Project

The intern will complete and present a sales strategy initiative. The final presentation should demonstrate how to effectively call on and grow sales within identified key retail partners

The project may include:

  • What tools, materials, and cross functional support are required for success
  • A structured approach to calling on key retail partners, including measurable growth opportunities and clear execution steps
  • Recommended best practices for engaging buyers without review calendars and positioning innovative products

Qualifications / Additional Skills:

This internship is best suited for a motivated, externally confident college student who is interested in sales strategy, retail growth, and customer engagement.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program, including graduating seniors pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong interest in retail strategy, account management, and customer-facing roles
  • Confident and professional in external communication settings, including speaking with retail partners and cross functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate account performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including basic formulas, data organization, and interpretation of reports
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable taking initiative and working with minimal supervision
  • Prior internship, customer service, or sales experience preferred
  • Experience participating in student leadership organizations, sales competitions, or team based projects
  • Professional, social, and relationship oriented with the ability to engage confidently in meetings
  • Located near Lisle, Illinois and able to work 4 days in office and 1 day remote
