POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a rising star to join our business operations team who is passionate about working with data to develop meaning insights. The Business Operations Analyst will drive programmatic initiatives to assist in the creation of new procedures and solutions employing automation, technology, and process redesign to materially improve business performance. Our ideal candidate thrives in an ambiguous and ever-changing startup environment and is able to learn fast and move fast to provide mission-critical information that drives efficiencies for the organization.


The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Manage day-to-day operations activities, including monitoring of business performance and reconciling of third-party reports and activities

  • Build reports and analytical capability across different functional groups in an effort to optimize costs and quality of service

  • Analyze and provide insights from internal surveys to assist with solving problems and driving business improvements

  • Assist in the operational planning and decisions by collecting, researching, analyzing, and forecasting operational data to achieve target KPIs

  • Manage and update an internal database documenting kiosk assets and service processes

  • Solve operational problems and associated technical issues; modify existing tools, techniques or processes as you find the opportunity

  • Work cross-functionally with and provide insights to multiple stakeholders in the organization including finance, marketing, customer service, and field service

  • Provide ongoing analyses for business operations and new initiatives

  • Anticipates, identifies, and drives resolutions to challenges and inter-dependencies to prevent downstream problems

  • Operates with significant autonomy and discretion; deals well with ambiguity

  • Makes optimal trade-offs between schedule, resources, and scope, and applies advanced analysis to address major risks, challenges, and obstacles

  • Relies heavily on influence, not directions, to drive results toward business goals

  • Uses creativity as well as advanced professional concepts to solve complex problems

  • Able to rapidly find opportunities for improvement, locate key levers to effect change, and formulate a practical implementation plan

  • Job Requirements

    • Expert proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets

    • Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to conduct analysis of data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations

    • High attention to detail, bias for action and ability to switch gears at a moment’s notice

    • Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • 2+ years of high achievement in an operational analyst role (or similar), preferably in a tech or startup environment

  • Preferred Education & Experience

    • Experience with BI platforms and data visualizers (Chartio, Tableau, etc.) is a plus

    • Experience with statistical tools or languages, such as R, SAS or Python is a plus

LOCATION

This opportunity is designed for our headquarters in the heart of Seattle, WA. Working remotely part of the time is an option.


TRAVEL - This position does not require travel.
