Position Overview
At Omlie, purposeful vision, joyful energy, and bold teamwork define how we serve our clients and our team. The Head of People will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, bringing visionary perspective and deep HR expertise to design and scale people programs that fuel business growth, belonging, and a thriving workplace culture. This role owns the full people strategy, from talent acquisition and performance management to compensation, benefits, organizational development, and culture-building initiatives, and will directly manage the People Operations & Team ExperienceAssociate Director.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR leader with meaningful experience developing and executing people strategies in a professional services or consulting environment. They possess breadth and depth across multiple HR domains, with a proven track record of building scalable systems, driving organizational change, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. This leader thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment and brings both strategic vision and the ability to coach and develop an HR team member while remaining hands-on when needed.
This is a hybrid position:
- Local candidates (within 50 miles from our home office): one to two days per week on-site in our Conshohocken, PA office.
- Non-local candidates: one to two times per month in our office.
Focus Areas
Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnership
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy aligned with business goals and growth trajectory.
- Lead workforce planning and organizational design efforts to support scaling from 20 to 35+ team members over the next three years.
- Provide strategic counsel on complex people matters, organizational changes, leadership development initiatives, and talent decisions.
- Design and manage people-related metrics and analytics, using data to inform decision-making and demonstrate ROI of people programs.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Own end-to-end talent acquisition strategy, from employer branding and sourcing to interview design, candidate experience, and quality of hire metrics.
- Build scalable, efficient recruiting processes that attract top consulting talent while maintaining Omlie's high bar for culture fit.
- Design skills-based success profiles and hiring criteria for consulting and internal roles at all levels, ensuring clarity and consistency in hiring decisions.
- Partner with the HR Associate Director to ensure seamless onboarding programs that accelerate new hire integration, connection, and time to productivity.
Performance Management & Career Development
- Design and implement performance management frameworks, including success profiles, career pathing, promotion criteria, and ongoing feedback mechanisms with a focus on actionable feedforward.
- Build learning and development programs that support consultant growth from entry level through senior leadership.
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and high-potential identification processes in partnership with leadership.
Compensation, Benefits & Compliance Strategy
- Own compensation strategy, including annual salary reviews, bonus structures, equity programs, and market benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable practices.
- Design and evolve benefits programs that support employee wellbeing and align with Omlie's values and growth stage.
- Oversee payroll administration and benefits management in partnership with the HR Associate Director and finance, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including policy development, risk mitigation, and staying current on regulatory changes.
Culture, Engagement & Organizational Development
- Champion Omlie's culture and values, designing strategic initiatives that spark engagement, recognition, and joy across the team.
- Design and manage employee engagement measurement (surveys, pulse checks, listening sessions), translating insights into action plans that improve the employee experience.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex employee relations matters, providing strategic counsel and resolution for sensitive situations.
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly manage the People Operations & Team Experience Associate, providing coaching, development, and strategic direction.
- Build the capability of the HR function by developing your team member's skills in HR strategy, business partnership, and execution.
- Balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution, stepping in to support implementation when needed while empowering your team to own core operations.

Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources leadership roles, ideally in a professional services or consulting environment.
- Demonstrated expertise across multiple HR domains, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation & benefits, organizational development, and employee relations.
- Proven experience building and scaling people programs in high-growth organizations (20 to 100+ employees).
- Experience managing and developing HR team members.
- Deep knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to tailor messages to all levels, build deep trust, and navigate complex conversations.
- High level of discretion, judgment, professionalism, and emotional intelligence in all interactions.
- Adaptable and action-oriented, skilled at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
