We are looking for a detail oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our team, Immigration law experience is a plus. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our attorneys and paralegals with day-to-day case management, client communication, and administrative tasks. This position also offers opportunities for professional growth within the firm, including the potential to advance into a Paralegal role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including preparing correspondence, forms, and case files.
  • Assist in scheduling client appointments, USCIS interviews, and court hearings.
  • Organize and maintain physical and digital case files to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and client inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
  • Track and update case deadlines and maintain the firm’s master calendar.
  • Assist clients in gathering and organizing required documentation for filings.
  • Prepare and proofread legal documents and forms for submission.
  • Perform basic legal research as needed.
 
Desired Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Legal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role in a law firm is preferred (immigration law experience is a plus).
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor, discretion, and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and or case management software (training provided).
