Job Title:            Assistant Director of Admissions and Outreach
Reports To:        Director of Admissions
Classification:    Exempt, 12-Month, Full-Time Position
Salary Range:    $78,000-85,000, DOE (Dependent on Experience)
Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with evening/weekend events 
Start Date:          ASAP

Position Summary:

Join Sequoyah School’s admissions team as an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Director of Admissions and Outreach!  You'll play a critical role in guiding families from their first introduction to our school through the entire enrollment process, ensuring each experience reflects the inclusivity and integrity of Sequoyah’s mission.  Your work will bring to life our commitment to equity and access, serving as a vital liaison between the community and Sequoyah School.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives to advance and enhance outreach at school entry points, specifically Kindergarten and 9th grade, in a manner that reflects the warmth and inclusivity of the Sequoyah community.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create and implement strategic marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Cultivate and expand community partnerships to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Design and execute impactful admissions events both on and off-campus, meticulously managing logistics from registration to follow-up.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and tours representing Sequoyah's values and mission.
  • Design and manage parent and student engagement as part of the enrollment process.
  • Leverage data collection, analysis, and reporting tools to assess program efficacy and forecast future needs.
  • Oversee the international application process as the Designated School Official, ensuring compliance and support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Multiple years of relevant outreach and admissions experience, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Cultural competence with a passion for promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, independently managing multiple priorities with poise.
  • Collaborative spirit and sense of humor, valuing feedback and continual growth.
  • Proficiency with admissions platforms, such as Blackbaud, is advantageous.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at multiple campus locations, requiring local travel.
  • Comfortable working in a shared office environment and managing computer-based tasks throughout the day.
