WHY EDOVO

At Edovo, our mission is to help everyone connected to incarceration build better lives. We’ve created a secure digital platform to expand education behind bars, reduce recidivism and to support the vocational, rehabilitation and communication needs of the 2.2 million people in jails and prisons. Users have access to thousands of hours of self-guided learning materials. Upon release, our learners have the option to continue their progress on the outside. Edovo offers courses in subjects ranging from basic literacy and GED to career exploration and cognitive behavioral therapy. We’re also building tools to keep people in touch with jobs, social services, friends, and family. Our team is committed to supporting opportunities for justice-involved people.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

As a Content & Curriculum Designer you will have the opportunity to design, manage, and shape the educational and rehabilitative offerings that incarcerated individuals use on Edovo’s platform. In this role you will be expected to be the expert on all facets of the content within the Edovo system. Your primary duties will include managing the content catalog, identifying gaps in our content offerings, and designing learning pathways. You will also manage relationships with content providers, and work with third-parties to build new content for Edovo.

  • Manage Edovo’s content catalog and act as the main point of contact for questions related to content.

  • Define and create learning paths and curriculums from Edovo’s content.

  • Make recommendations based on learner outcomes to improve the Edovo learning experience.

  • Understand what content is available in the market that uniquely fills gaps in our content catalog and make recommendations to the business on what to acquire and how it fits into our learning paths.

  • Make recommendations on courses that Edovo should create, and work with third parties to design, create, and launch content.

  • Be the primary point of contact for third party content providers, manage those relationships, and drive the onboarding of new content providers.

  • Provide training internally to Edovo staff about Edovo’s content offerings.

  • Review RFP, marketing, and other externally facing documents to ensure content offerings are properly represented, and occasionally meet with prospects or existing customers to review Edovo’s content offerings.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A passion for Edovo’s mission and education in general, and excited to engage with and learn from the incarcerated individuals we serve, the friends & family of the incarcerated, and jail staff.

  • Bring a collaborative problem-solving spirit to your work.

  • Focused and able to prioritize tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • At least four years of experience in the education sector.

  • Experience building curriculums.

  • Experience creating online content using a learning management system.

  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze data sets, identify trends, and make recommendations based on them.
