The Post Production Manager, reporting to the Senior Director, Post Production & Technology, is
responsible for coordinating all aspects of the post production process, from inception through
final delivery.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Executive Producers, Producers, Editors, Assistant Editors, Audio Mixers, Designers, Animators, Colorists, Engineers to book talent and manage content through the post production process across multiple facilities
  • Manage schedules per project, and communicates daily assignment of rooms and talent
  • Monitor and ensure timeframe and budget are on track, and communicates delays or overages
  • Liaise closely with host platforms, obtains technical specifications, and delivers multiple projects on time and on budget
  • Facilitate revisions and QC notes to the team to adjust accordingly
  • Create, monitor and update the post production schedule for all bookings and rooms both onsite and offsite
  • Organize digital or tape master assets and supplemental deliveries and archive

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field strongly preferred; High School Diploma required

Experience:
  • Intimate knowledge of the post production process, especially on Broadcast and OTT offline and online workflows
  • Understanding of various types of media, file formats, and delivery specifications
  • Experience managing television and film post processes
  • Ability to work within a team to obtain goals
  • Handle day to day client services and escalate to management when necessary
  • Extremely organized and able to multitask on a variety of projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Avid, Adobe Creative Cloud, Edit Share and Pro Tools
  • Proficiency in either Studio Suite, ScheaduALL, or Xytech Media Pulse

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or
crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift
or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
focus.

Work Environment:
This position will primarily take place in an office setting.

Work Hours:
Working hours will vary according to the needs of the department, but the regular schedule of
the position follows Mass Appeal’s operating hours of 9:30 am-6:30 pm.
