Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, Accounting Generalist who loves working with numbers, is great at client interaction and wants to be a part of a growing Lowcountry Tech Company! The ideal candidate has been working in the accounting field for a minimum of three years, is computer savvy and is passionate about processes and process improvement. This is a hybrid work opportunity with 3 days working from the North Charleston office and 2 days working remote.

Position Responsibilities

In this role the Accounting Generalist will be responsible for the following:

• Maintaining all Accounts Receivables, ensure clients are receiving accurate, monthly statements and that AR management is running as efficiently as possible.
  
• Creating, editing, and sending invoices to clients on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Reviewing and auditing all invoices that come in, process in Bill.com, then send to the Controller for approval and payment.
• Preparing, making, and confirming the accurate recording of daily bank deposits in various forms: check deposits, electronic deposits, and credit card deposits.
• Responsible and the first point of contact for all client communications and collections with regards to billing.

In addition, the Accounting Generalist will assist and support the Controller with the following:

• Month end and year end closing processes and procedures.
• Internal audits and preparing for external audits.
• Annual budget preparations as needed and instructed.
• Calculating monthly commissions for our sales team as payments are received.
• Performing administrative and other support tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related Accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field or relevant work experience preferred.
• An understanding of General Accounting Fundamentals (GAAP).
• Knowledgeable and experienced in QuickBooks Online highly preferred.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) a must.
• Previous experience with ConnectWise Manage, Bill.com and/or Wise-Pay is a plus!
• Outstanding attention to detail and incredibly thorough when it comes to numbers.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must have the ability to adapt and pivot to changing priorities.
• Enjoys working independently and also in a team environment.
