Summary: The Controller is responsible for closely monitoring the Company’s financial health to ensure the accounting functions are designed, managed, and successfully led to enable our next level of business growth. The Controller directs and plans the preparation of reports that summarize and forecast business activities and financial positions in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations, ensuring accuracy of financial information in accordance with generally accepted principles (GAAP).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting and Close Process
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- Process, prepare, and publish financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to executive leadership
- Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts
- Lead consolidation activities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions by maintaining accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives
- Internal Controls and Compliance
- Enhance, implement, and maintain internal control policies and procedures
- Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings
- Support risk management and financial governance initiatives
- Assist with regulatory and accounting standards compliance including but not limited to federal, state, and local financial requirements
- Review sales tax and property tax filings
- Oversee and review payroll
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Partner with CFO in developing and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing variances analysis
- Manage monthly and quarterly bank compliance
- Team Leadership and Strategic Support
- Continue efficient accounting process automation and best practices to allow company to scale in a cost-effective manner
- Support CFO in financial planning and analysis
- Contribute to long-term financial strategy and operational improvements
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Financial Reporting and Close Process
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 7+ years or more of related experience required
- Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred
- Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information
- Advance proficiency in ERP systems and Excel
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
