POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Organizational Trainer designs and delivers training and learning experiences that advance the knowledge and skills of employees and stakeholders across Changent. This role architects learning solutions across varied business needs and objectives from professional development and organizational knowledge to systems, and compliance.

 

Bringing expertise in adult learning, instructional design, and facilitation, the Trainer manages the learning life cycle from needs and readiness assessment through design, delivery, and evaluation. This role works with subject matter experts to translate complex information into practical learning solutions and uses data and feedback to refine content and delivery.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

40% | Learning Strategy & Instructional Design

  • Assess learning needs and translate organizational priorities into structured learning solutions.
  • Design curricula and learning experiences grounded in adult learning and instructional design principles.
  • Develop instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and hybrid learning experiences based on audience and learning needs.
  • Establish learning objectives and determine appropriate delivery methods, resources, and approaches.
  • Translate complex concepts and information into clear, engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences.
  • Engage subject matter experts across the organization to inform content development and validate accuracy.
  • Manage a centralized library of training content and learning resources.

 

35% | Organizational & Workforce Learning

  • Lead learning programs that advance individual and organizational performance.
  • Facilitate learning across key areas, including organizational knowledge, professional and leadership development, technology, compliance, and workplace practices.
  • Lead orientation on Changent mission, vision, values, culture, organizational structure, and ways of working.
  • Educate audiences on how functions across the organization work together to advance organizational strategy and mission.
  • Develop training that supports the adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Produce job aids, facilitator guides, quick reference materials, and other resources that reinforce learning and workplace application.

 

15% | Stakeholder Training

  • Design and facilitate onboarding and training for organizational stakeholders, including members of the Board of Directors and volunteers.
  • Develop learning experiences that build understanding of our mission, organizational structure, expectations, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
  • Deliver training on Changent policies, safety practices, communication expectations, and other requirements relevant to stakeholder roles.
  • Prepare stakeholders to participate in meetings, presentations, advisory activities, and other organizational engagements.
  • Provide stakeholders with the knowledge and resources needed to represent Changent externally and contribute to our mission.

 

10% | Training Management & Evaluation

  • Set standards and practices for training design, delivery, documentation, and content management.
  • Manage training schedules, learning resources, and delivery logistics across multiple learning formats.
  • Track training participation, completion, feedback, and learning outcomes through established systems and reporting practices.
  • Analyze learning data and trends to inform future training priorities and improvements to content and delivery.
  • Research emerging practices, methods, and technologies relevant to organizational training needs.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ of experience in corporate training, instructional design, learning and development or a related field.
  • Experience designing and facilitating organization-wide training for employees across roles and levels.
  • Experience in conducting learning needs assessments and translating identified needs into structured learning solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and facilitation practices.
  • Experience designing instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and hybrid learnings.
  • Experience developing curricula, facilitator guides, job aids, quick reference materials, and digital learning content.
  • Experience developing training that supports organizational change and the adoption of new systems, processes, or practices.
  • Experience with learning management systems and virtual learning platforms.
  • Ability to interpret learning data and outcomes to assess training impact and inform recommendations.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts and information into clear and engaging learning experiences.
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to manage many learning initiatives and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders across functions and levels.
  • Ability to work independently within established organizational priorities and direction.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% annually.

This position reports to the Manager, Human Resources and does not have any direct reports.
