We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to become part of our Accounting / Technical Support team.  We develop and support financial software solutions that manage accounting and investment portfolio information for our clients. You will help clients implement and transition to our system and assist them in the day-to-day use of our general ledger accounting software. These assignments involve considerable client interaction.

 

Job Description

 

As a member of the Accounting & Technical Support team, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Communicating with clients using email, phone and GoToMeeting.
  • Reconciling brokerage statements to our software.
  • Troubleshooting client issues related to our software, including software bugs, user errors and hardware conflicts.
  • Using problem-solving skills to understand issues and discover the source of any errors.
  • Collaborating with the Accounting Team to assist users in developing proper procedures with FNI software products.
  • Submitting bug reports to the Development Team for problems that can be recreated and substantiated.
  • Coordinating with clients to deploy new software versions and answer billing questions.
  • Maintain and administering computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware and systems software.

Qualifications

 

To be successful you will likely have:

 

  • A college degree with an Accounting, Finance or Systems Development major.  Related technical experience is a positive.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 7 / 8 / 10. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A strong understanding of accounting and investments is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a small company environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team and manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently.

 

Good communication skills, especially on the telephone, are important to be effective in this role.
