New Majority Capital Management LLC (NMC) is seeking a Deal Analyst to join our growing team. The Deal Analyst will focus on supporting the NMC Fund I's investment activities in the self-funded ETA (Entrepreneurship through Acquisition) space. They will work closely with and as an integral part of our small and collaborative team of investment professionals.
Overview
The Deal Analyst guides NMC investment managers toward high-yield, minimal loss, impactful investments. The primary purpose of this role is to help entrepreneurs who already have counter-signed LOIs in place to get their deals financed and over the finish line, and to identify the most suitable opportunities to package for review by the NMC investment committee.
Additionally, this role will be involved in supporting entrepreneurs earlier in the acquisition process, helping them assess deal viability, deal structure, and providing strategic guidance throughout the investment journey.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Structuring & Financial Analysis
- Lead multidisciplinary due diligence to assess, negotiate, and close investment deals
- Implement and integrate deal scoring models to evaluate opportunities with an appropriate lens of risk, reward, and overall portfolio construction
- Validate historic adjusted EBITDAs, valuation multiples, industry risk scores, and develop financial models that accurately project DSCR and Return on Investment
- Coordinate with banks or CDFIs for financing and ensure appropriate working capital adjustments
- Review and provide feedback on LOIs before submission
Due Diligence & Portfolio Support
- Involvement in all aspects of due diligence on new investments (business analysis, industry thesis, competitive landscape, business/pricing model, and financial modeling / deal structuring, risk analysis & mitigation plans)
- Work with NMC Searchers from pre-LOI stage to closing, including synthesizing due diligence findings and coordinating closing documentation
- Support Deal Leads to fill out Investment memos and to present to the Investment Committee
- Provide strategic support to existing portfolio companies as needed
- Prepare market analyses and presentations to drive investment decisions
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Execute the strategy, framework, and tactics of the entrepreneur intake process
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and other stakeholders
- Cultivate and manage relationships with banking partners, equity investors, and financial institutions to streamline deal financing and capital structuring
- Serve as a key liaison between NMC and financial partners to ensure alignment on deal structures and investment criteria
- Identify new opportunities by staying abreast of market trends and developments
- Participate in and contribute to weekly internal meetings where new investments and portfolio companies are discussed
Regular Activities
- Host AUA (Ask Us Anything) sessions and participate in our entrepreneurship through acquisition accelerator (bETA) as a guest speaker
- Maintain and update industry-specific risk assessments and FAQ documentation
- Support bETA Accelerator activities including curriculum development, workshop facilitation, and providing ad-hoc support to program participants as needed
- Attend industry events/webinars and summarize findings
- Engage in regular networking activities to build relationships with key industry players
- Coordinate with searchers, lawyers, and banks for closing documentation
- Provide ongoing support to the NMC team with pipeline management and deal tracking
- Occasional travel for site visits as part of the due diligence process
Qualifications
Required Experience & Education
- 2-5 years of experience analyzing company financials in a private equity group, investment bank, or other organization involved in structuring acquisition deals
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline, including business or economics
- Demonstrated experience with financial modeling, accounting, and deal structuring
- Track record of successful deal qualitative due diligence and quantitative analysis and closing small business acquisition transactions
Technical Skills
- Strong financial modeling and accounting capabilities
- Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, cash flow projections, and valuation methodologies
- Experience with due diligence processes and deal structuring
- Ability to assess business plans and investment opportunities critically

Compensation
- Base salary range: $80,000-$100,000
- Performance bonus structure based on deals closed

NMC is a remote-first organization with a membership at a co-working space in Boston, MA and Providence, RI. This position is primarily remote with the exception of some travel and in-person team days. Travel more than 100 miles will be reimbursed and is expected for the following:
- Quarterly team strategy offsite meeting
- Annual offsites with national team
- In-person presentations/meetings as needed
- Conferences
- Site visits at potential Fund portfolio companies
