Olympus Solutions, Inc. is seeking full time, highly motivated individuals with great analytical and problem-solving abilities to join our fast-paced, growing team in Norfolk, VA. As a Technical Support Specialist you are responsible for managing the Help Desk ticket queue. Primary duties include resolving end-user desktop-related issues, supervising the triage process of issues requiring escalation to other resources, recommending help desk process improvements, and updating relevant training materials. The Technical Support Specialist will also assist the project team with various technical tasks such as creating custom reports, templates, and visual aids. This position may require shiftwork.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university is required.
Minimum 4 years of desktop support experience is required.
Some experience troubleshooting networking issues is required.
Ability to interface and communicate effectively with non-technical personnel is required.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office application is required.
Microsoft, Cloud, Linux, or Networking.
