Job Description


STH provides solutions through system application, analysis, sales, and service of engineered products. Specifically,       fire, booster and sump/sewage pumps/ lift stations and related controllers.


  •    The Municipal / Industrial Sales Lead will manage 4 outside sales representatives. In addition, you will work closely with the STH engineering and estimating / technical support teams.


  •  You will be responsible for establishing annual sales targets, managing, directing, and reviewing all team sales activities including performance reviews, leading daily huddles and weekly / monthly team meetings.


  •  You will conduct monthly activity meetings with key manufacturers and share any pertinent information with your sales team and the executive group.  In addition, you must have strong technical aptitude, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and sustain long-term relationships.


Job Responsibilities



    • Manage Municipal / Industrial Sales Teams
    • Promote, market, and sell all STH products and services such as preventative maintenance agreements.
    • Required to be out making joint sales calls 3-4 days per week.
    • Lead daily team huddles, and weekly / monthly sales team meetings.
    • Establish relationships with key customers.
    • Build and maintain internal relationships with other STH teams, including the service team, to make sure the customer receives the best customer service.
    • Coordinate with inside support staff for all project-related tasks.




Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 5+ years of outside sales experience and 5+ years of sales management experience – (Preferably in municipal / industrial pump sales or other technical and or engineered products sales / management.)
  • A clean driving record is a must.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Outlook, and cloud-based CRM
  • Reside within a 50-mile radius of Washington DC or Northern VA areas
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
  • Excellent leadership and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds independently, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications


·         Strong to senior level technical aptitude.  

·         Strong attention to seeing beyond the stated problem and providing solutions.


      Experience reading project blueprint plans and specifications.

 Specific Municipal industry experience is a plus.

 Controls and or electrical background is a plus.

 Sales management in a municipal/industrial environment.
