Outside Sales Representative: Aftermarket Team

 

At STH, we pride ourselves on being solutions providers. To maintain our solutions providing business we analyze system applications and provide sales and service for engineered products. The Commercial Sales Representative is an outside sales position that will visit commercial mechanical and plumbing contractors. During these visits the ideal candidate will promote the sale of pumps, water filtration, rainwater harvesting, commercial sprinkler systems, and many more products. This person must also be skilled in building relationships and closing deals with clients and business partners.

Job Responsibilities

    • Promote, market, and sell all STH products and services
    • Qualify prospects and lead generation building a consistent pipeline of customers to meet and maintain sales performance goals
    • Build internal relationships across teams at STH including the Service team, to make sure the customer gets the full STH experience
    • Coordinate with inside support staff for all project-related tasks
    • Submit orders to inside support staff by referring to price lists and product literature
    • Coordinate with estimating team and engineering teams for final project needs and selections
    • Perform sales calls to customer locations, including job sites for equipment inspections
    • Recommend changes in products and services by evaluating project details and customer needs
    • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales

 

 

Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years outside sales experience with one company
    • High mechanical aptitude
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Outlook, and cloud-based CRM
    • Reside within a 50-mile radius of Washington DC or Northern VA
    • Prior experience as a Field Service Technician (mechanical, plumbing, and/or electrical experience is helpful).
    • Full understanding of wiring schematics
    • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds independently, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
    • Clean driving record is a must

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

·         Experience with mechanical, electrical, and/or commercial products

 

  • Strong attention to seeing beyond the stated problem and providing solutions accordingly
  • Experience reading blueprints and project specifications
