Job Description

The driving force behind constant business growth is the presence of a highly analytical and qualified estimator/technical project coordinator. The ideal candidate will prepare estimate reports for commercial construction projects by gathering information, and analyzing plans, the scope of work, and other project metrics. This person will be fluent in the construction plan and specification review, be knowledgeable of research and data analysis methods and understand estimation processes. In addition, this person will possess excellent communication skills, be detail orientated, and have outstanding organizational skills.


Objectives of this Role

• Collect and review varying quote requests from engineering, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers

• Review and assess cost estimates

• Develop and review the scope of material and site work needed to create an estimate

• Process the project following appropriate internal processes

• Research with support from account reps; project bidders and issue proposals prior to bidding day.

• Work with Senior Estimators and Engineering on projects

• Review submittal documents and make necessary adjustments to maintain the budget and scope of the project

• Ensure the project meets scope and budget prior to final approval for release

• Assist customers with technical, startup, and warranty needs

• Provide close-out documents as needed per the project

• Provide general administrative support to Engineering and Sales account reps

• Other duties as assigned by the manager


Skills and Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in project estimating or project management within the construction industry or related technical experience

• Knowledge about mechanical pumps and equipment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Meticulous attention to detail

• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently

• Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools

• Fantastic organizational and time management skills

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Ability to accurately follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or MEP engineering

• Municipal and Industrial Estimating experience
