Spine Sales Representative

As a Spine Sales Representative, you’ll play a key role in developing business within your territory, building relationships with top Spine and Neurosurgeons, and delivering exceptional service during surgical cases. You’ll manage your own accounts, support complex procedures, and become a trusted expert in spinal devices and technology. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • ​​​Drive sales growth and develop new business across your assigned territory 

  • Build strong, consultative relationships with spine surgeons, hospital staff, and decision-makers 

  • Provide expert surgical case coverage for spinal procedures, ensuring precision and readiness 

  • Educate clinicians and staff on the proper use of VB Spine products 

  • Manage and move consignment and loaner inventory to meet surgical demand 

  • Stay clinically sharp by mastering spinal anatomy, surgical techniques, and our full product portfolio 

  • Maintain accurate records, forecasts, and customer activity using CRM tools 

  • Deliver prompt, on-call support when needed and maintain a reputation for reliability and professionalism 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet sales and service goals  

What You Bring: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited college or university preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 

  • At least 2 years of successful sales experience required; medical device or operating room experience strongly preferred 

  • 5 years of experience in a clinical and/or operating room environment preferred (or a 4-year degree may substitute) 

  • Prior exposure to spine, orthopedics, or neurosurgery is a strong plus 

  • Proven ability to build rapport quickly and earn trust in clinical settings 

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills 

  • Demonstrated biomechanical aptitude and a willingness to master complex product knowledge 

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with excellent time-management skills 

  • Comfortable working in high-pressure, emergency/operating room environments 

  • Proficient with current office technologies such as Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce 

  • Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs of surgical instruments and equipment 

  • Willing and able to maintain a flexible schedule, including on-call availability for nights, weekends, and holidays 

  • Willing to travel within the territory, to support other regions, and to attend national sales meetings and conventions 

  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Compensation: 

This is a commission-based role with high earning potential. Compensation is competitive and influenced by factors such as territory performance, clinical coverage, and individual qualifications. 

VB Spine reserves the right to offer compensation based on a variety of factors, including experience level, skillset, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
