Director of Compliance:
Global HR Research is seeking a Director of Compliance to provide lead the compliance function of its background screening and drug testing operations. The Director of Compliance will research and interpret legislation; monitor and report on pending domestic legislative and regulatory changes; develop best practice compliance tools and presentations for Company and customers; answer compliance related inquiries; and work closely with the Sales, Technology, Quality Assurance, Marketing and Operations teams on compliance related issues and projects. The position is based in Fort Myers, Florida and reports to the company’s CEO.

Responsibilities :
• Develop, maintain, and update a repository of customer accessible compliance materials, presentations and tools pertaining to the background screening and drug testing industries.
• Monitor and notify management of regarding key legislative and regulatory developments affecting the background screening and drug testing industries.
• Create legislative alerts regarding background screening developments affecting employers, screening companies and specific industries.
• Prepare and deliver educational programs regarding a variety of background screening and drug testing compliance topics to both internal and external audiences.
• Review product briefs, white papers, sales slides, marketing announcements, blog articles, and other marketing and product support materials.
• Provide content regarding federal or state laws or regulations affecting the background screening and drug testing industries for blog articles, whitepapers and other marketing materials.
• Respond to routine compliance inquiries from sales, operations and customer service.
• Support product management by providing subject matter expertise regarding background screening requirements affecting specific industries, including healthcare.
• Develop and/or review policies and procedures as requested for compliance with background screening industry laws and regulations.
• Assist with various legal and compliance projects as requested.
• Responsibilities are subject to change from time to time at the discretion of management.
• Employee certification programs
• Maintaining GHRR compliance certifications including NAPBS, and support of other security and compliance priorities.

Accountability& Performance Measures
• Aligns the compliance needs across the organization, department by department ensuring GHRR maintains a best in class compliance program.
• Working with rest of leadership team, insure compliance across all operational, customer facings and internal project needs.
• Provide critical voice-of-the customer and industry insight to help insure the company is aligning compliance objectives and priorities to maximize our ability to win over the long term.
• Performance measures will be set a monitored by:
o Client requirements (SLAs), QA, and regulatory requirements.
o Vendor requirements and management including salting, certifying, testing and on-boarding audits,
o FCRA and state law requirements as they pertain to GHRR’s operational needs.
o Compliance as it relates to GHRR technology solutions.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, JD preferred with a focus on labor and employment law
• Three to five years of supervisory experience in a similar position.
• Three years of supervisory experience in Operations.
• Substantive experience with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, healthcare industry and/or employment law strongly preferred
• Proven track record in effectively leading, coaching and developing staff
• In-depth industry knowledge and the ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of GHRR’s products and services
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
• Strong, demonstrated customer focus and ability to work directly with customers
• Ability to analyze data, draw inferences, and develop action plans based on empirical data to accommodate desired objectives
• Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems
• Ability to achieve results by taking a proactive long-term view of business goals and objectives
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external colleagues
• Knowledge and expertise in computer hardware and software including Windows XP, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and the Internet
• Proven strength in building relationships and the ability to influence others
