*This is a Full-Time position in our St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.
What You Will Do
As a member of the finance department, you will assist the team in multiple areas within both fund and management company accounting. You will report directly to a Director of Accounting and assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, treasury, and accounts payable, as well as other operational tasks including the following:
Responsibilities
• Assist with both fund and management company accounting, audit, budgeting, forecasting, and tax functions.
• Assist with the month-end closing process for the management company including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, flux analyses, and other monthly analyses.
• Monitor and maintain monthly AP vendor booking in Workday general ledger system.
• Monitor and initiate treasury transactions in banking system and Workday general ledger system.
• Responsible for the preparation of month-end financial statements.
• Assist with external audits functions for funds and the management company.
• Assist with monitoring and reporting on fund assets, performance, and flows data on a regular basis.
• Prepare / assist in producing financial results/reporting for management and the Board of Directors/Trustees.
Who You Are
• You are highly motivated, team oriented, and eager to learn.
• You have 1-3 years of relevant experience working in relevant accounting and financial reporting roles, audit experience is preferred.
• You have an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar discipline. CPA license is a plus not a requirement.
• You have strong technical skills, sharp intellect, and problem-solving skills.
• You are capable of implementing and effectively using technology (MS Excel, Workday GL system, automation, and robotics tools).
• You have strong written and oral communication skills and can articulate effectively.
• You enjoy working in a collaborative, transparent, and diverse environment.
