What You Will Do

ARK is hiring a Showrunner / Executive Producer to take the reins of its media programming at a pivotal moment: an established and growing content slate to optimize, and a new live show to launch. You will come in as the senior editorial and operational leader across both — owning what ARK has today and building toward what comes next. This means sharpening the performance of existing programming across podcast, long-form video, and recurring series, while simultaneously preparing for and launching a live show that will be one of ARK’s most high-profile pieces of content. You will be the single point of accountability for what ARK programs, what airs, when, and how it performs. While this role sits within the Marketing organization, the Showrunner will work hand in hand with ARK’s Research team — the on-air talent and the source of the ideas that drive content. The best person for this role will not just produce around the research team; they will be a trusted creative partner to them.

Your Responsibilities

1.   Live Show Ownership

•  Get up to speed on the existing format and editorial vision; identify what’s working and what isn’t; drive a deliberate optimization pass on segment structure, run-of-show, booking strategy, and pacing

•  Produce a clear, complete episode brief for each episode and deliver it to the external live production partner in advance of air, on a strict deadline, every show day without exception

•  Brief hosts ahead of each episode, source and coordinate guests, and ensure every appearance is on-message and on-brand

2.   Full Programming Slate

•  Serve as senior editorial lead across all current and future ARK video and audio formats — today’s show and podcast lineup, and whatever launches next

•  Set the editorial calendar, format, and guest pipeline across ARK’s expanding podcast lineup as Executive Producer

•  Build and maintain the master content calendar across long-form, live, and podcast formats in coordination with the full marketing leadership team

3.   External Partner & Production Coordination

•  Serve as ARK’s primary point of contact with the external live show production partner; maintain clear, structured communication and accountability for deliverables on both sides

•  Partner closely with the Video Producer, who owns the production pipeline and short-form clipping underneath this role

4.   Programming Performance & Format Development

•  Use audience and engagement data to refine format, pacing, segment mix, and booking strategy over time and to inform new format development

•  Program with an awareness of conversations happening across the investing, venture, and technology communities ARK serves, so content is timely and relevant, not just produced on schedule

Who You Are

•  Editorial Leader — You make fast, sound calls on what a given episode should cover; you have strong news judgment and the confidence to back your instincts under time pressure

•  Operator on a Deadline — You are built for the daily cadence of live programming; you can finalize and deliver an episode brief on a fixed pre-air schedule, every show day, without exception

•  Trusted Creative Partner — You don’t just produce around smart people; you develop genuine fluency in the ideas and investment themes driving content and become a real collaborator to the research team

•  Format Builder & Optimizer — You have a track record of taking over an existing show and materially improving it, sharpening editorial quality and performance without losing what was already working

•  Community-Aware Programmer — You follow the conversations happening in investing, venture, and technology and use that awareness to keep ARK’s content timely and relevant

•  Collaborative & Clear — You work well alongside a Video Producer and broader marketing team with clear delineation of editorial ownership versus production execution

Qualifications

•  5+ years of experience as a producer, showrunner, or executive producer for live, daily, or near-daily video or broadcast programming, ideally in financial media, business news, or a comparable fast-turnaround editorial environment

•  A track record of taking over an existing show or format and materially improving editorial quality, pacing, or performance

•  Demonstrated ability to operate on a hard daily deadline: finalizing and delivering episode briefs to an internal or external production partner on a fixed pre-air schedule

•  Experience managing or directing on-camera talent, including briefing hosts and coordinating guest bookings under time pressure

•  Experience managing an external production partner relationship with clear communication and mutual accountability for deliverables

•  Working knowledge of podcast production and EP-level responsibilities: format, calendar, and guest pipeline

•  Bonus: experience in financial services, fintech, or asset management, and familiarity with compliance-aware editorial workflows

•  Remote-eligible; St. Petersburg, FL office available
