Job Description
The BIM/VDC Coordinator will support the digital design, coordination, and information workflows used to deliver complex hyperscale data center programs.
This position works across design, engineering, construction, and project delivery. The work includes coordinating multidisciplinary models, managing project information and BIM standards, identifying issues across disciplines, and improving how models and information are structured, shared, and used throughout the project.
The BIM/VDC Coordinator will work with engineers, designers, project teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and trade partners. The role goes beyond model production and includes helping teams establish and improve the digital workflows, standards, and processes used to coordinate and deliver technically complex projects.
Primary Responsibilities

Coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other project disciplines

Reviewing models for coordination issues, completeness, consistency, and compliance with project standards

Managing model organization, naming conventions, data structures, templates, and BIM standards

Coordinating the exchange of models and project information between internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and trade partners

Identifying model and design coordination issues and working across disciplines to resolve them

Supporting BIM/VDC workflows throughout design, coordination, construction, and project delivery

Developing and maintaining BIM execution plans, model standards, processes, and project documentation

Organizing and managing design and project information across disciplines and project phases

Supporting digital tools, workflows, and automation that improve project coordination and efficiency

Connecting design models with information needed for construction, installation, and project execution

Participating in coordination meetings and communicating technical information across project teams

Helping improve the tools, standards, and processes used across BIM/VDC and digital project delivery
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, design technology, or a related field

5+ years of professional experience in BIM, VDC, design technology, digital project delivery, architectural or engineering design, or a related field
Desired Qualifications

Experience with Revit and multidisciplinary BIM coordination

Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Navisworks, or similar model coordination platforms

Experience managing BIM standards, model organization, templates, or digital project delivery processes

Experience with design technology, information management, or computational design workflows

Experience working with data-rich BIM models and structured project information

Experience coordinating architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and construction disciplines

Experience developing or maintaining BIM execution plans

Experience working with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, and trade partners

Experience supporting large-scale or technically complex building or infrastructure projects

Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, or hyperscale programs
-
Familiarity with Dynamo, scripting, automation, APIs, or other tools used to improve BIM and design workflows

Experience connecting design models and project information to construction or field execution
-
Ability to identify coordination issues and work across teams to resolve them

Strong organization, communication, and follow-through

Ability to manage priorities and assigned deliverables with limited day-to-day oversight
Candidates are not expected to have experience in every area listed above. We are interested in individuals with a strong BIM/VDC or design technology foundation who can work across disciplines and want to help improve how complex project information is coordinated, managed, and delivered.

Compensation
Kunz is hiring for both BIM/VDC Coordinator II and BIM/VDC Coordinator III positions. The level offered will be based on the candidate’s experience and technical background.
The anticipated base salary range for the positions covered by this posting is $70,000 to $115,000 annually. Individual compensation will be based on position level, work location, relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
Employees may also be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
