The Asset Manager will assist the Collections Team and Legal Team in all phases of the voluntary and involuntary equipment return process, including evaluating its condition and coordinating its repossession, transportation, repair and remarketing/resale.  Will also negotiate sales of assets currently in inventory.  Must show creativity, resourcefulness, industry competence and passion to determine equipment market values and make decision with limited information.  Additional responsibilities include working closely with other department managers; managing relationships with Recovery, Remarketing and Site Inspection Agencies; researching equipment and industry trends; developing and maintaining internal asset value recovery models (e.g., forecast vs. realized recoveries) to support decision-making and balance growth and risk management objectives.

Desired Skills/Expertise
Relevant equipment financing, operations or management experience preferred, but at a minimum clear passion for equipment and enthusiasm for working in the equipment finance industry
Familiarity with large yellow iron, trucks, trailers, material handling and industrial equipment a plus
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
Ability to push through difficult situations, often with limited cooperation from the counterparty
Timely decision making ability
Proficient in MS Office products
