About the Role:
Based out of our Brewton, AL office, reporting to the General Manager of Southern Alabama we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Manager to oversee the inventory operations of our small but growing broadband internet company. This role is responsible for managing equipment and material stock levels, tracking usage, ensuring timely ordering and restocking, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will have experience in telecom, broadband, or a similar technical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain inventory of networking equipment, modems, routers, cables, and installation tools.
- Track incoming and outgoing inventory across field teams, vehicles and warehouse locations.
- Develop and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Work with purchasing to ensure timely restocking of critical components.
- Coordinate with field technicians to ensure equipment availability for installations and maintenance.
- Use inventory management software to log movements, generate reports, and monitor stock levels.
- Conduct routine audits and physical inventory checks.
- Manage returns, repairs, and disposal of damaged or obsolete equipment.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements in inventory processes.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety and handling procedures.
- Deliver inventory as needed to company offices and field locations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a technical field preferred.
- 2+ years of inventory or warehouse management experience; telecom or broadband industry experience a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic spreadsheet tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in a warehouse or field environment as needed.
- Valid driver's license required.
