The Role: People & Culture Generalist

As our People & Culture Generalist, you’ll be the heartbeat of our day-to-day HR operations and a trusted partner to leaders and team members alike. You’ll shape the employee experience across every touchpoint, from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between. From benefits and compliance to employee relations and engagement, you’ll help create a workplace rooted in care, clarity and consistency.

What You’ll Do

As People & Culture Generalist, you will support and strengthen our people operations during a pivotal time of growth.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Support the full employee lifecycle—from job postings and onboarding to benefits, payroll, and beyond
  • Serve as a first point of contact for team member questions, concerns, and coaching conversations
  • Coordinate new hire orientations, background checks, and documentation
  • Maintain employee records, update our HRIS, and support payroll processing
  • Help navigate leaves of absence, benefits education, and open enrollment
  • Track compliance documentation and participate in audits
  • Collaborate on employee engagement efforts and culture initiatives
  • Provide guidance to leaders and employees around policies, performance, and conflict resolution
  • Support cross-functional projects that connect people strategy with business success
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, empathy and shared success

What You’ve Done

  • 4–6 years of experience in HR, People Ops or a related role
  • Hands-on support across multiple areas of the employee lifecycle
  • Experience handling confidential matters with integrity and professionalism
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (TriNet a plus)
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment laws
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
  • Frequent use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, printer)
  • Ability to move about the office to access supplies and attend meetings
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 20 lbs
  • Flexibility to support urgent requests outside core hours
  • On-site presence required
  • Ability to maintain focus, attention to detail and productivity in a fast-paced environment
