About the Role:

Join our dynamic and growing media department as an Assistant Media Planner / Buyer. You'll play a key role in developing, executing, and monitoring strategic media plans that encompass TV, radio, digital, and social media. Working closely with a team of skilled media professionals, you'll contribute to all aspects of media planning and buying, from gathering data and issuing contracts to analyzing performance and optimizing campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a nationally recognized brand while gaining hands-on experience in both media planning and buying.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Media Planners and Buyers on the development of comprehensive media plans across TV, radio, digital, and social media.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining buy details, flowcharts, and budget reporting.
  • Issue and monitor media insertion orders, contracts, and ensure campaign compliance.
  • Gather market data, call for station availabilities, and upload information to systems.
  • Provide campaign analysis, optimize media plans, and track performance against objectives.
  • Negotiate and monitor media buys, maintaining efficiency and delivery against client goals.
  • Manage billing discrepancies, steward buys, and analyze post-campaign results.
  • Stay updated on media industry trends, systems, and tools like Strata, MediaOcean, and Prisma.
  • Attend internal and external media presentations, while building relationships with vendors and sales reps.
 
Qualifications:
  • Related coursework in advertising, marketing, and/or communications.
  • 6 months plus experience media buying (internships).
  • Strong multitasking, detail orientation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, and media planning software.
  • Strong interest in research, numbers, and analysis.
