At Moontide, we believe that data without insight is just noise—and we’re looking for a Manager, Data Science & Analytics who knows how to cut through it.

This is not a back-office role. You’ll be at the frontlines of client transformation, using data to uncover what’s working, what isn’t, and—most importantly—what to do next. You’ll lead data strategy across marketing and media, blending statistical rigor with storytelling, and working cross-functionally with Moontide’s Media, Business Intelligence, and Growth Insights teams.

Your fluency in modern data stacks—Azure, SQL, Python, Tableau—will be matched only by your ability to translate models into real-world results. And while we’re platform-agnostic, we lean into tools that scale, integrate, and empower better decisions.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Design and manage analytics frameworks that tie media and marketing performance to business growth across key verticals including aesthetics, health/wellness, and consumer brands.

  • Translate marketing, pricing, and campaign data into clear, actionable insights that inform decision-making at the regional and national level.

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and warehousing structures—primarily within Azure environments, though familiarity with AWS and GCP is a plus.

  • Oversee ETL processes that ensure clean, usable, and timely data for downstream analytics and visualization tools.

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of statistical models and machine learning tools to support campaign optimization, customer segmentation, and predictive forecasting.

  • Own Tableau dashboards and reporting deliverables that bring your insights to life—and make them useful to both analysts and executives.

  • Work directly with client and internal stakeholders to frame analytical problems, scope solutions, and communicate findings in a compelling narrative.

  • Collaborate across departments to elevate Moontide’s analytics offerings and capabilities.

  • Contribute to Moontide’s overall growth by embedding data science thinking into media strategy, creative testing, and performance marketing.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in data science, marketing analytics, or a related field—ideally within an agency, consultancy, or performance-driven organization.

  • Demonstrated experience building models and performing analysis in support of marketing/media KPIs: customer acquisition, conversion rates, return on ad spend (ROAS), lifetime value (LTV), etc.

  • Deep experience with SQL, Python, and Tableau. R, Looker Studio, and PowerBI are a plus.

  • Working knowledge of cloud environments, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Blob Storage, etc.).

  • Proficiency in designing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL workflows, and database schemas.

  • Experience applying both supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods, especially for clustering, forecasting, and propensity scoring.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and executive decision-makers.

  • Skilled at framing business problems, not just solving technical ones. You ask: “What decision will this insight inform?”

  • Comfortable operating in a hybrid work model and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

  • Based in the Los Angeles area (this is a hybrid role, and relocation is not provided).
