About iMentor
iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower students in low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions. Students work with their mentors one-on-one, in-person and online, to develop strong personal relationships, nurture a college aspiration, navigate the college application process, and build critical skills that lead to college success. In New York City, iMentor partners with public schools to ensure every student in the schools receives a mentor. iMentor also provides its curriculum, technology, and best practices to help nonprofits run effective programs in the iMentor model. Position Overview
iMentor seeks an enthusiastic ambassador to help the organization identify, recruit and hire the exceptional talent needed to meet iMentor’s ambitious goals. Collaborating with hiring managers across the organization, the Talent Recruiter will conduct full-cycle recruiting across iMentor’s regions and national team for a variety of roles, building robust and diverse talent pipelines, and liaising with candidates throughout all stages of the application process. Reporting directly to the Director of Talent Recruitment, the Recruiter will steward initiatives to promote iMentor as an employer of choice, while serving as a culture builder for the organization. This individual will be the face of iMentor to applicants, an internal representative of the Talent team to all staff, and will play a crucial role in building and supporting iMentor during a period of continued growth.

Responsibilities
Search Management
• Conduct full-cycle recruiting for regional and national teams, focusing on entry-level and mid-career roles
• Scope and launch staff searches, including soliciting input from diverse stakeholders, research and drafting documents
• Manage up to 7 searches at a time including: setting and adjusting strategy, tracking candidates, scheduling, communicating with candidates, and managing other staff involvement
• Leverage online application system for efficient search workflow and reporting
• Adhere to Affirmative Action guidelines and reporting, and champion related initiatives
Outreach and Recruitment
• Cultivate broad and diverse talent pipelines to attract active and passive candidates
• Proactively source high potential passive candidates annually through informational interviews and strategic relationships including iMentor network, organizations, champions
• Publicize job openings on job boards, via social media outlets, and through iMentor’s network
• Work with Director of Talent Recruitment on the execution of an events strategy for recruiting leaders and staff of color
• Identify opportunities and internally source and create content to promote iMentor as an employer of choice, leading the Best Nonprofits Survey, including drafting blog posts, collaborating with the Communications Team on print and online collateral, managing LinkedIn presence
Candidate Assessment
• Create tools to attract and evaluate candidates, including job descriptions, interview scripts, rubrics, and work samples
• Conduct 20+ interviews/week (phone, in person, and informational), document feedback, and follow up with next steps
• Facilitate hiring decision making, sharing insight on candidates and gathering feedback from interviewers to support hiring managers’ decisions
Employee Engagement
• Escalate issues to Director of Talent Recruitment including unbudgeted searches, retention risks, anything salary related, onboarding concerns, management support needed for new staff
• Serve as a culture builder and equity champion within the organization, engaging in related committee work, team building initiatives and trainings
• Manage Referral Bonus program and support staff in acting as Talent ambassadors for the organization
• Take on tasks to support the overall success of iMentor’s mission, requiring occasional evening and/or weekend events

Qualifications
• 3+ years relevant experience, with a preference for staff recruitment, human resources, career development or partnership development experiences in a fast-paced/quickly growing organization
• Natural ambassador and relationship builder with customer service-orientation and evidence of effective collaboration across a complex organization or multiple regions
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously without sacrificing thoroughness and detail
• Superb written and verbal communication skills; able to pitch compelling career opportunities to internal and external candidates at all levels
• Familiarity with CRMs or ATSs; the ability to use technology, reporting and data to improve processes and guide strategy
• Resourceful and curious, as eager to learn the context as to define and master process
• High comfort level with ambiguity and entrepreneurship; able to thrive under pressure and deadlines with minimal oversight
• Excellent listening skills; able to demonstrate a high level of tact, discretion and diplomacy while dealing with confidential and sensitive information
• Deep commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and aligned in thought and action with iMentor's values
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory fingerprinting and criminal background check, conducted by the Division of Human Resources at the New York City Department of Education
