Position Objective |
The EEAP Liaison will have the responsibility of implementing and managing apprenticeship programs that effectively bridge the gap between education and employment. The focus of these programs will be on fostering skill development, professional growth, and career advancement for the participants. In addition, the EEAP Liaison will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to consistently improve program quality, expand opportunities, and align with Camp Fire’s Early Education Workforce Development programs.

Education, Experience, Qualifications |
Education and Experience (Essential)
- BS in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- 2 years’ experience as an early childhood teacher in a licensed childcare program.
Education and Experience (Desired)
- MS in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- 5 years’ experience as an early childhood teacher in a licensed childcare program.
- Experience with project management
- Experience in early childhood professional development
- Knowledge of early care and education principles, practices, and trends in the field.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for children birth through 5 years of age, Texas Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines, Infant, Toddler, and Three-Year-Olds Guidelines, Texas' Minimum Standards for child care centers, and NAEYC guidelines.
Essential Functions
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
Must have transportation and the ability to travel to CF supported childcare programs.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities |
The following duties and responsibilities are required for this position.

Program or Project Operations |
- Implement and assist in managing the Early Education Apprenticeship program
- Serve as the project lead of the Pre-Apprenticeship program.
- Supervise and monitor Journey workers.
- Create, monitor, and update the apprentice course tracker for EEAP courses.
- Oversee class attendance and assignment completion for all apprentices.
- Provide regular follow-ups to all apprentices on program progress.
- Interview candidates for the apprenticeship program.
- Conduct workshops as needed on a variety of educational topics to support early education professional development.
- Conduct orientation workshops and training on DOL mentoring/OJL expectations.
- Organize ongoing connections with apprentices through calls/emails, notes, and morale-building.
- Monitor requirements for the Department of Labor
- Assist with program evaluation activities.
- Assist in communicating, marketing, and developing strategies for implementing program goals.
- Assist with facilitating apprenticeship graduation.
- Lead EEAP alumni engagement opportunities.
Financial Operations: |
- Assist with establishing a plan for accurate budget documentation of expenses within contract/program guidelines as needed.
- Develop and provide oversight of project budgets as needed.
- Complete required reports for contracts/funders as assigned.
- Maintain tracking systems for the inventory of materials provided to participants.
- Implement the tracking system to manage stipend awards.

Marketing & Communication: |
- Collaborate with EEAP Program Director, VP of EEWD, and CF Marketing Staff to coordinate marketing materials.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies with the EEAP Program Director
- Actively recruit new EEAP Host sites and apprentices.
- Attend conferences, job fairs, and community events to promote EEAP.

Key Contributions: |
Early Education Apprenticeship Liaison has four primary components: Pre-EEAP, EEAP recruitment/enrollment, EEAP related instruction/mentoring, and post-apprenticeship. The Early Education Apprenticeship Liaison will oversee the early education apprenticeship program's related instruction/mentoring component for Journey workers.
