- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in facilities management, food service, housekeeping, or related roles, preferably in a camp or similar environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in staff management and budget and resource management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, sanitation practices, and facility maintenance best practices.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve effectively.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).

- Demonstrate proficiency in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of facility maintenance, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural integrity.
- Proficiency in landscaping and groundskeeping tasks such as lawn mowing and weed eating.

- Maintenance Oversight: Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff in performing routine inspections, repairs, and upkeep of camp buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for facilities maintenance, and coordinate procurement as needed to support camp operations.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards for facilities, conduct regular safety audits, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and hazards.
Specific Area – Food Service Management |
- Menu Planning: Collaborate with food service staff to plan nutritious and diverse menus for camp meals, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Quality Control: Supervise food preparation, service, and cleanup processes to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
