Position: Writing Intern

Status: Part-Time (10-20 hours a week)

Location: 2700 Meacham Blvd. Fort Worth, Texas 76137

Salary Range: Stipend Available if not for Course Credit

Job Summary: Camp Fire has an exceptional hands-on opportunity for upper-level college student majoring in writing, communications, strategic communications, English or journalism. Build your portfolio of work and hone your storytelling skills while earning credit. This intern position will interface with multiple program divisions to identify stories and interview subjects. Autonomy to research story leads independently and help support organizational priorities. Writing projects could include, but not limited to Newsletters Social Media Blogs Media Pitches Development/Fundraising requests Annual Report Website content

Essential Functions: Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Must be able to drive and have transportation to get between program sites for interviews. Must be able to observe through sight and sound.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Some college including coursework in English, Journalism or related field

• Knowledge and adherence to AP style

• Computer skills including virtual meeting platforms

• Must be able to pass criminal background check
