Job Purpose:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Cycle Analyst to support the TWRX Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will manage data integrations, build and maintain reporting tools, and deliver data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making. You will work both independently and in partnership with the Director of Business Intelligence to develop analytical solutions—such as dashboards, statistical models, and performance analyses—that empower leadership and stakeholders across the organization. This position plays a key role in advancing data transparency and operational efficiency as we scale in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and organize structured and unstructured data from various sources into internal database systems (e.g., SQL-based platforms), ensuring standardized data management practices.
  • Validate incoming data for completeness and accuracy, utilizing reconciliation checks and automated validation processes to ensure alignment between raw and processed datasets.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance routine reporting dashboards in tools such as Power BI or Excel to monitor the complete rebate cash collection lifecycle.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and IT teams to resolve bottlenecks in the revenue cycle and translate business needs into data solutions.
  • Assess the limitations of visualization platforms and pivot to custom-coded solutions (e.g., SQL queries, Python scripts) when necessary to meet complex user requirements.
  • Design clear, actionable data visualizations to highlight trends, performance metrics, and gaps in rebate collection and claim processing.
  • Conduct data-driven assessments to identify inefficiencies and opportunities in the revenue cycle, collaborating with stakeholders to recommend workflow improvements and denial reduction strategies.
  • Gain deep familiarity with departmental data sources by:
    • Understanding how data is collected, stored, and maintained
    • Identifying appropriate usage and limitations of each source
    • Validating data accuracy and resolving inconsistencies
  • Support business intelligence initiatives by analyzing inbound/outbound pharmaceutical claims data to identify submission trends, track claim statuses, and uncover opportunities for process optimization.
  • Perform weekly analyses of inbound data from rebate partners using Excel or BI tools to generate insights that improve the rebate claim submission-to-collection rate.
  • Automate recurring reports and data transformation processes using tools like Python, Excel macros, or Power Automate to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience working with relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server) to extract, manipulate, and manage data.
  • Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including use of formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions, and basic VBA for process automation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Automate) to support workflow automation and collaboration.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets and inform business decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in health care (claims data), particularly reporting and analysis of claims data, and working knowledge of the health care industry, such as NDC, CPT, HCPCS, DRG billing and basic medical terminology desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Public Health, or equivalent experience preferred.
