We're seeking an experienced Paid Media Strategist to join our team as a contractor, bringing deep expertise in managing high-performing campaigns across multiple advertising platforms. You'll work with diverse clients across various industries, developing and executing sophisticated paid media strategies that drive measurable business results.

Job Description

As a Paid Media Strategist, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Campaign Development: Create comprehensive paid media strategies across multiple platforms, aligning with client business objectives and target audience insights

  • Platform Management: Plan, build, launch, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) platforms with expert-level proficiency

  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance using data-driven insights to maximize ROAS and achieve KPI targets

  • Budget Management: Strategically allocate and manage advertising budgets ranging from $5K to $100K+ monthly across multiple platforms and campaigns

  • Audience Strategy: Develop sophisticated targeting strategies, including custom audiences, lookalike audiences, and advanced demographic/behavioral targeting

  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely with creative teams to develop high-converting ad creative, providing strategic direction on messaging, formats, and creative testing

  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed performance reports and present strategic recommendations to internal teams, translating complex data into actionable insights

  • Testing & Experimentation: Design and execute A/B tests across ad creative, audiences, bidding strategies, and landing pages to continuously improve performance

  • Platform Innovation: Stay current with platform updates, beta features, and industry best practices to maintain competitive advantage

Required Key Skills and Education

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns across multiple platforms and industries

  • Expert-level proficiency in Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, YouTube, Performance Max)

  • LinkedIn Ads experience including Sponsored Content, Message Ads, Dynamic Ads, and Lead Gen Forms

  • Deep Meta advertising expertise across Facebook and Instagram, including advanced features and Conversions API

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Analytics 4, platform native analytics, and third-party attribution tools

  • Campaign optimization expertise including bid management, audience refinement, and creative performance analysis

  • Google Sheets and Looker Data Studio proficiency for data analysis, reporting, and budget planning

  • Experience with conversion tracking, pixel implementation, and attribution modeling

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex strategies and performance data to various stakeholders

Preferred Skills

  • TikTok Ads experience with Business Manager and advanced targeting capabilities

  • Snapchat Ads proficiency, including Snap Pixel and dynamic product ads

  • Amazon Advertising expertise (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, DSP)

  • Walmart Connect experience for marketplace advertising

  • Google Analytics 4 certification and other relevant platform certifications

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM integrations

  • E-commerce advertising experience including dynamic product ads and shopping campaigns

  • B2B lead generation campaign expertise with complex attribution models

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

  • Location: Remote with occasional Denver office collaboration preferred

  • Estimated Commitment: 20-30 hours a month (flexible based on client needs)

  • Duration: Initial 2-month contract with potential for extension

  • Start Date: Immediate

Compensation Range:

$50-$75/hour commensurate with experience, skills, education, tenure, and/or training
