About DSP Concepts
DSP Concepts is the global leader in embedded audio technology and the creator of Audio Weaver—the industry-standard audio development platform for rapid prototyping, tuning, and deployment on leading SoCs. Audio Weaver powers millions of automotive, consumer, and voice-enabled devices across the world.
We collaborate with top semiconductor partners—Analog Devices, Arm, Cadence, MediaTek, Qualcomm, Renesas, NXP, STMicroelectronics—and world-renowned automotive and consumer brands including BMW, Mercedes Benz, Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Peloton, Porsche, Tesla, and many others.
At DSP Concepts, engineers thrive in a highly technical environment that values innovation, hands-on problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration. As we expand rapidly in Japan, we are seeking a senior technical leader to support complex customer programs and advance our engineering footprint with OEM and Tier-1 partners.
Role Overview
The Customer Success Manager acts as the primary technical owner for customer engagements in the Japan automotive market. This role sits at the intersection of embedded audio engineering, customer program execution, and technical account strategy.
You will guide customers through architecture decisions, integration of Audio Weaver, DSP development workflows, acoustic tuning, and system validation. You will also coordinate internal engineering, PMO, and product organizations to ensure technically robust and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate is an engineer with strong system-level understanding, hands-on embedded development or DSP experience, and the ability to communicate highly technical concepts to engineering and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & System Ownership
- Serve as the senior technical lead and trusted advisor for assigned automotive OEM/Tier-1 accounts in Japan.
- Provide guidance on embedded audio architecture, DSP workflows, model design, integration strategy, and performance optimization.
- Contribute hands-on to DSP module development, Audio Weaver graph design, tuning, debugging, or validation as required.
- Ensure technical deliverables meet system requirements, quality standards, and performance KPIs.
- Drive creation of reusable engineering assets, design templates, and best-practice reference workflows.
- Proactively identify customer needs, risks, and opportunities; drive urgent issue resolution.
- Communicate and escalate issues both internally and externally as appropriate.
Program Execution & Engineering Coordination
- Support end-to-end delivery execution for awarded programs.
- Provide accurate engineering effort estimates, work breakdowns, and resource plans.
- Act as the integration point between DSPC engineering, CSEs, PMO, and customer technical teams.
- Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and engineering status reporting.
- For large or multi-stream programs, collaborate closely with a dedicated project manager while maintaining technical authority.
Customer Collaboration & Technical Advocacy
- Build strong relationships with customer engineering teams, architects, and decision makers.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering plans and communicate constraints, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Debug complex technical issues related to DSP behavior, tuning workflows, system integration, or embedded performance.
- Represent customer technical needs to internal engineering and product teams to shape roadmap priorities.
Strategic Growth & Technical Account Development
- Work with Sales and Business Development to identify engineering-aligned expansion opportunities.
- Influence long-term customer audio strategies by recommending architectures, workflows, and platform capabilities.
- Deliver technical presentations, demos, and solution proposals to support adoption and expansion.
