DSP Concepts makes products that enable development and delivery of complex audio and voice solutions for the automotive and consumer electronics industries.
The DSP Concepts Technical Project Manager will manage the successful delivery of DSP-based audio designs and software, ensuring that the scope and resource constraints are balanced. This requires them to interact with both the client and resources in house. The Project Manager will be responsible for creating the project management plan and ensuring the team is executing to that plan, meeting the goals and completing it successfully within the established scope, schedule and quality with a high degree of customer satisfaction. An understanding of embedded SW development and DSP audio or similar communications background is highly beneficial. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with dedication and a strong technical aptitude who will fit with our collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for this position are:

Manage the execution and successful delivery of assigned projects by following DSP Concepts processes and industry standard practices. Experience in automotive industry standard practice preferred.

Provide program management support through the entire project lifecycle from presale (SOW development, effort estimation, etc.), through contracting, execution, contract completion and post-contract support.

Manage the relationships with related customers and other stakeholders

Create/maintain the management artifacts for the project (project plan, Jira tickets, schedule, revenue/invoicing plan, resource assignments, etc.)

Provide project governance: proactively control the scope, schedule, quality, budget and performance to contract. Ensure stakeholder conflicts over governance are handled with thoughtful and mature communication

Coordinate DSP Concepts engineering and other resources to support project execution and deliveries

Communicate proactively with stakeholders and team members, insuring comprehensive awareness and clarity/alignment. Present project status to management team on a regular basis.

Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and products through awareness of tools, methods, processes and DSP Concepts product portfolio, including rigorous root cause analysis and resolution implementation.

Manage the issues, escalation and risks for each project understanding clearly that rapid removal of roadblocks to progress is fundamental

Manage software and hardware acquisition and delivery to DSP Concepts staff and partners to meet project requirements
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in electrical, software, computer engineering or similar technical field. Emphasis in audio and or communications is preferred

A minimum of 2 years in an engineering role in an automotive product development environment.

3 or more years of project management and related experience, including successful program kick off and completion. Experience in automotive products is preferred.

Ability to execute projects in both waterfall and agile development environments

Strong verbal and written communications; fluent in English and Mandarin required

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or similar) preferred

Solid interpersonal skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside of DSP Concepts

Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices (e.g. Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket, SmartSheets/MS Project, Office Tools.)

Experience seeing projects through the full project life cycle; experience with automotive project management strongly preferred

Experience with contributing to, interpreting and implementing contracts including statements of work, orders, and similar.

A strong understanding and direct experience with software and hardware development, the software development life cycle, embedded systems and relevant development processes
