The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will provide guidance and oversight to the GPS warehouse, order processing, and inbound/outbound shipments. The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the safety of incoming and outgoing shipments, implementation, and creation of processes and creating a safe work environment for all. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both logistics management and process improvement while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Warehouse Operations Supervisor Job Duties:

Oversees fulfillment, shipping and receiving, order processing operations and inventory by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing policies and procedures; duties include loading and offloading of palletized freight and FedEx, UPS and courier service shipping and receiving.

Supervise temporary labor for assembly projects, providing leadership and training to ensure high performance.

Handles returns, credits, and supports with documentation for shipping claims in compliance with company policy.

Leads and optimize warehouse processes, continually identifying opportunities for operational improvements.

Maintains strict adherence to federal, state, and local warehousing and shipping regulations, staying updated on any changes to relevant legislation and advising management on necessary actions.

Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement, and general sweeping. Schedules and oversees yearly floor cleaning.

Completes warehouse operational requirements

Utilize warehouse management software and Excel to track inventory, report on performance metrics, and analyze operational trends.

Operational knowledge of the use of warehouse equipment: i.e. pallet jack (walker stacker) and forklift

Maintains OSHA safety compliance standards within the warehouse

Follows and develops safety protocols as needed
Qualifications and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent (Required).

Proven success in warehouse management, coordination, and distribution.

Leadership and team management experience.

Familiarity with warehouse management software and experience with operational reporting.

Experience making freight estimates and management of all shipments from vendor warehouses to client receipt.

Excellent communication and time management skills.

Ability to effectively interact with team members, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and more

Ability to identify and share best practices for warehouse operations

Ability to regularly lift between 50 – 100 lbs.

An associate's degree or higher in logistics or supply chain management

Work Environment
The Warehouse Supervisor can expect to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a mix of both manual and automated systems. This role requires physical tasks like standing, walking, lifting, and bending for long periods. Safety is a top priority, and employees are expected to wear safety shoes, gloves, and high-visibility vests. The warehouse temperature may vary greatly from cold to hot depending on the weather.
