Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled, collaborative Full Stack Web Developer with proficiency in Next.js (React.js + Node.js). You will partner with an existing delivery team during development, then assume ownership of our automated DevSecOps Kubernetes environment once their work concludes. In this role you will co-architect both internal and external web solutions and champion security best practices, ensuring DoD and FedRAMP compliance remains front-of-mind at every step. 

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of designing high quality, accessible user interfaces, including immersive 3D experiences, while maintaining multi-tenant AWS workloads and hardening Kubernetes environments with a security first mindset. You are a forward-thinking engineer who tracks emerging trends in cloud, security, and software development and turns those insights into continuous improvements for the entire team and for our customers. 

Essential Duties

  • Design, build, and maintain full stack web applications using Next.js (React) on the front end and Node.js on the back end. 

  • Implement DevSecOps pipelines to achieve and sustain DoD/FedRAMP Authority to Operate (ATO), covering CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, container hardening, and automated compliance. 

  • Architect and secure multi-tenant AWS workloads using VPC, IAM, EKS, Lambda/API Gateway, S3 static sites. 

  • Own Kubernetes security posture: CIS Benchmarks, Pod Security Standards, network policies, and admission controllers. 

  • Able to deliver responsive, accessible UIs and immersive 3-D experiences. 

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud, security, and modern software development and champion continuous improvement across the team. 

  • Holds or is capable of obtaining security clearance (company sponsored)

Experience

Experienced Full Stack Engineer specializing in React (hooks, state management, testing, accessibility), Node.js/TypeScript, and Next.js for building responsive, secure web applications. Proficient in designing RESTful APIs, implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab), and deploying serverless AWS architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, S3). 

Skilled in Kubernetes security hardening (CIS, PSS, network policies), AWS infrastructure management (VPC, EKS, IAM, CodePipeline), and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform. Strong background in DevSecOps, container security (Syft, Grype, Trivy), and delivering on DoD/FedRAMP compliance (NIST 800-53, ATO, STIG, OSCAL). 

Hands-on experience with 3D math and rendering (WebGL, CSS 3D), Apple Vision Pro/RealityKit, Swift, Unity, and Unreal Engine. Proven technical leader with excellent cross-team communication and mentoring skills. 

Work Environment

  • Work Location -onsite/hybrid (open to relocation for the right candidate) 

  • Work Hours Mon-Fri 8am-5pm HST (Hawaii Standard Time)   

  • Travel – hybrid, requires ability to travel to Honolulu office several times a week. Travel to mainland a couple times a year.

  • Requires sitting at a computer for at least 8 hours a day
