The role in a nutshell 

We are looking for an innovative, energetic, and tech savvy marketing guru to promote our product, brand, and services. As the Marketing Lead, you will be both a strategic planner and creative idea generator, developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans that allow Octaura to attract new clients and expand sales with existing ones. You get excited being on the front line of a dynamic fintech start-up and your expertise translates into increased brand awareness and profitability. You represent all things Octaura and work hard to ensure that we’re able to put our best foot forward at events and conferences.  You love variety so you enjoy wearing multiple hats, managing execution across multiple channels including digital advertising, email marketing, content marketing, events, account-based marketing, search and social media.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Develop an understanding of the demographics of our client base and an ability to determine the appropriate positioning of Octaura's services
  • Execute on marketing campaigns by collaborating with business heads, product and sales teams to develop creative themes, design and messaging
  • Monitor, optimize, and deliver reporting and analysis on marketing efforts to continually improve outreach and performance
  • Research, plan and promote Octaura's brand at conferences, trade shows, and other major industry-related events to give Octaura the most visibility and exposure 
  • Keep up-to-date with industry news, best practices, technologies, marketing strategies and trends, as well as customer preferences and behaviors  
  • Prepare forecasts and manage the marketing budget efficiently 
  • Generate new business leads, by increasing brand awareness and market share. 
  • Coordinate marketing strategies and contribute to innovation with sales, client success, tech, and product teams 
  • Model and champion Octaura's values

Desired experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role with a B2B tech company 
  • Experience working with brand image and promoting value through customer experience 
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills 
  • Deep understanding of customers' concerns and thoughts regarding the use of products, and the ability to troubleshoot as needed 
  • Hands on experience with online marketing tools and practices
