Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors, shaping the company’s financial vision and enabling long-term value creation. As a key driver of growth, the CFO will oversee all aspects of finance—including strategy, planning, capital markets, risk management, and operations—while ensuring financial discipline and scalability. This role will be instrumental in guiding the company through its next phase of expansion, including fundraising, potential IPO preparation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute a long-term financial strategy that supports the company’s vision, growth priorities, and global expansion.
- Partner with the CEO and Board to drive business transformation, evaluate strategic investments, and optimize capital allocation.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), ensuring insight-driven recommendations that inform critical business decisions.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure integrity, transparency, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Oversee compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and all applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Manage audits and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, regulators, and advisors.
Capital Markets & Corporate Finance
- Lead capital raising activities, including private financing, strategic partnerships, and IPO readiness.
- Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, treasury, and investment strategies to support liquidity and growth.
- Provide leadership in M&A opportunities, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
Operational Finance
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance management, ensuring accountability across the business.
- Implement and optimize ERP/financial systems, controls, and reporting tools for scalability.
- Monitor financial and operational KPIs to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Team & Organizational Leadership
- Build and mentor a world-class finance organization capable of supporting rapid growth and international operations.
- Foster collaboration with R&D, operations, commercial, and corporate functions to align financial priorities with business outcomes.
- Champion a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Risk & Governance
- Proactively identify and manage financial, operational, and market risks.
- Establish and enforce robust internal controls and governance practices to safeguard company assets and reputation.
Investor & Stakeholder Relations
- Serve as a trusted voice for investors, analysts, and stakeholders, communicating a compelling financial narrative.
- Support fundraising activities, investor meetings, and Board presentations with clarity and credibility.
- Represent the company at industry, banking, and investor events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred).
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, ideally in high-growth, global, or publicly listed environments.
- Proven success in capital markets, fundraising, and IPO preparation.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, business modeling, and performance optimization.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, corporate taxation, and governance standards.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Regular travel (estimated 20–30%) is required to company facilities, investor meetings, and industry events etc.
Preferred Experience
- Industry expertise in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, SaaS, or other innovation-driven sectors.
- Experience with ERP/finance systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and digital finance transformation.
- Track record in managing multi-entity, cross-border financial structures.
