Overview

ZQUARED is a fast-growing e-commerce company and one of the largest Amazon sellers in the US with over $90 million in revenue. Founded in 2010, we’re a family-owned company of about 50 people based in the St. Louis, MO area. We partner closely with e-commerce Brands across the country, developing and implementing strategies to help them accelerate their growth on e-commerce marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart.

Role

The Business Development Team at ZQUARED is focused on adding Brand Partners with a sizable presence on Amazon and Walmart to ZQUARED’s portfolio. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for securing meetings with potential Brand Partners and guiding them through the sales process with the support of our Business Development Director.

Responsibilities


Lead Generation & Relationship Building

  • Proactively identify and engage potential business opportunities through high-level conversations and tailored outreach.
  • Use a variety of channels, including phone calls, emails, social media, and in-person visits, to connect with brands and educate them on how ZQUARED can add value.
  • Conduct research to uncover business challenges and align solutions with ZQUARED’s offerings.

Sales Strategy & Coordination

  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Development to close sales opportunities and drive new business growth.
  • Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring seamless transitions for partnership success.
  • Track and document all prospect interactions in our CRM system, maintaining thorough and organized notes.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with the Brand Management team to support successful brand launches and ongoing brand retention efforts.
  • Partner with the Business Development team to refine strategies, improve messaging, and achieve team revenue goals.
  • Share insights and feedback from client interactions to inform cross-departmental improvements and enhance overall business processes.

Industry Engagement

  • Represent ZQUARED at trade shows and industry events across the country, building connections and expanding the company’s reach.
  • Actively network with industry leaders, partners, and potential clients to identify collaboration opportunities and stay informed on emerging trends.
  • Deliver engaging presentations or demonstrations at events to showcase ZQUARED’s expertise and value to prospective partners.

Job Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+years of proven success in a sales development role, including lead generation, qualifying prospects, and closing sales.
  • 3+ years of professional experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and assertive communication style, with the ability to confidently challenge perspectives when needed.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time-management skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, CRM tools, and creating presentations.
  • Versatility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic sales environment with evolving processes.
  • Research expertise to identify new business opportunities.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge in e-commerce, especially marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart.

Compensation Breakdown:

  • Base Salary: $55,000-$65,000
  • Total on Target Pay: $80,000-$90,000(including expected commission/bonus)
