Cobalt Abortion Fund, Intake Coordinator (full time, non-exempt)

Our abortion fund serves people seeking financial assistance for abortion care and/or practical support getting to their appointment.
Summary: Cobalt Abortion Fund is seeking a passionate intake coordinator to work directly with Cobalt Abortion Fund clients to provide funding towards their abortion care and practical support needs.
This is a full time, non-exempt position with a comprehensive benefit package. Hybrid work options available. Some evening or weekend hours required for Cobalt events throughout the year. This position reports to the Cobalt Abortion Fund Director.
Intake Coordination Responsibilities Include:

Use a client centered lens to respond to individual requests for abortion care funding.

Coordinate funding with partner clinic staff and other abortion funds.

Identify and arrange practical support (travel assistance, meal support, child care, etc.) and procedural funding needs for each client.

Identify and refer clients to additional support resources and/or to local agencies.

Lead solidarity funding requests across abortion funds for Cobalt clients.

Utilize follow up with clients and identify additional areas of support.

Use Alboum translation and interpretation services to work with non-English speaking clients.

Communicate consistently with the Intake Manager to advise on their client capacity.

Work on abortion fund intake projects, as directed by the Cobalt Abortion Fund Director.
Knowledge and Skills Required:

Ability to use a client centered lens when working with individuals.

Problem solving abilities when navigating complex client situations.

Knowledge of local support services is a plus.

Intersectional approach when navigating unjust systems and awareness of disproportionately affected communities.

Ability to ensure client confidentiality and appropriate use of HIPAA guidelines.

Excellent written and communication skills.

Proficiency in Google Suite.

Spanish or other second language speaking skills are preferred.
Salary range: $48,000 to $52,000 with 100% employer paid health insurance, dental, and vision. Short term disability/long term disability and life insurance. Health and dependent care flexible spending accounts. Retirement plan. Potential additional $2,500 Spanish language compensation for fluent Spanish speakers that will be utilizing Spanish in everyday work. Spanish assessment upon hiring. Generous time off including paid sick leave, personal time, vacation time, holidays and office closure at the end of December.
Applicants must live in or be willing to relocate to Colorado. Hybrid work option available, with some required in-office days in Denver, CO. Standard working hours for this role are Mondays-Fridays 9am-5pm, Mountain Time. Some evening and weekend hours required for Cobalt events.
