About The Role: The Facilities Associate plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of the commercial office building. This position involves a blend of light maintenance work, cleaning, and general facilities support tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a safe and presentable environment for tenants and visitors. 

We're hiring for the following shifts:

Monday - Friday: 4:00 pm - 12:30 am (Full-Time) OR 11:00 pm - 7:30 am (Full-Time)

Weekend: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (Part-Time) OR 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures a safe, secure, and fully functional environment by maintaining access control systems, video surveillance, locks, and lighting.
  • Maintains restrooms to exceptional cleanliness standards throughout the day, including regular cleaning, restocking supplies, monitoring for issues, and ensuring a pristine experience for all users.
  • Stocks and maintain coffee stations, ensure fresh coffee is available, equipment is clean, supplies are replenished, and the area presents a welcoming appearance throughout business hours.
  • Replenishes member snacks, beverages, and kitchen supplies, monitoring inventory levels and communicating restocking needs to maintain consistently available amenities.
  • Cleans and maintains common areas including lobbies, kitchens, breakrooms, and gathering spaces to ensure welcoming, organized, and spotless environments.
  • Monitors and cleans meeting rooms and conference spaces, ensuring they are ready for use with clean surfaces, organized furniture, stocked supplies, and professional presentation.
  • Wipes down surfaces, fixtures, countertops, window glass, and elevator interiors to maintain a polished appearance throughout the building.
  • Dusts furniture, fixtures, and decorative elements to preserve The Ledger's aesthetic standards and prevent buildup in high-traffic areas.
  • Respond promptly to spills, cleaning emergencies, and urgent cleanliness needs, addressing issues quickly to maintain safety and appearance.
  • Monitors and replenishes cleaning supplies, paper products, and amenity stock, communicating inventory needs to the Commercial Facilities Manager.
  • Collaborates with the facilities team and other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around events, meetings, and member activities.
  • Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies in organized storage areas, ensuring proper care and availability of tools needed for daily operations.
  • Upholds health and safety standards in all cleaning practices, using appropriate cleaning products, following safety protocols, and maintaining a safe environment for members and staff.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in facilities, janitorial, or maintenance work preferred
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment (e.g., power washers, leaf blowers) safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and building systems is a plus
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, climb ladders, and be on your feet for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality
Work Environment:
 This role involves working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Appropriate PPE and training will be provided.
