Position Summary

We are rapidly growing and seeking exceptional talent to achieve our goal of ensuring that our scarce healthcare dollars go to real patient care. We are seeking a DevOps engineer to assist in maintaining and improving our existing CI/CD processes. We are constantly collaborating with our Data Science, Data Engineering, and Webapp teams to help them architect cloud solutions to their most pressing problems. They will learn under experienced DevOps Engineers as our team breaches into “Platform Engineering” practices to improve the quality of life for our company’s many developers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • 50%: Implementing GitOps/DevOps Practices
    • This will involve researching lots of AWS tools/technologies with considerations for security, networking, scalability, disaster recovery, costs, documentation, high-level diagrams of the architecture, and monitoring.
  • 50%: Troubleshooting
    • Troubleshooting developer deployment errors, cloud environment downtime, updating scaling/security configurations in collaboration with other DevOps/Platform Engineers and developers across other teams.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python & Linux Shell Scripting required
  • Working experience with Terraform and writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to create reproducible AWS applications for internal teams required
  • Working experience with building and shipping Docker containers into cloud environments for pipelines and microservices
  • Working experience with AWS Services: EC2, VPC, S3, IAM
  • Preferred experience with AWS Services: Aurora, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, EMR
  • Preferred experience with Javascript for building web applications to advance our Platform Engineering goals to exposing self-service infra to internal teams

 

Other Requirements/Preferences:

  • Computer Science (CS) Degree or equivalent 
  • Prior System Admin experience is a plus
  • Experience working in a regulated industry is a plus
  • Physical Requirements: Work is performed in an office environment (either in our office or work-from home) and requires the ability to work on a computer, operate standard office equipment, and work at a desk.
