As an IT specialist, you will manage systems, resolve user queries, and optimize our technology infrastructure to align with business goals. The ideal candidate will oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, oversee cybersecurity and provide technical expertise to ensure all operations run smoothly. Objectives of this role

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network administration systems.
  • Troubleshooting IT issues, resolving system outages, and providing technical support.
  • Monitoring system performance and ensuring optimal up time for all IT resources.
  • Managing IT cybersecurity protocols to protect systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assisting with data backups, disaster recovery planning, and implementation.
  • Managing inventory for IT equipment and recommending necessary upgrades or replacements.
  • Collaborate with management on technology integrations on ad hoc projects.
  • Updating documentation of IT policies and procedures.

 

Your tasks

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within IT systems.
  • Set up new user accounts, email configurations, and hardware devices for team members.
  • Install and update software applications, ensuring compatibility and data security.
  • Monitor network traffic to identify and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Manage configuration of servers, printers, and peripheral devices for company use.
  • Perform routine maintenance and manage resources to optimize speed and reduce costs while maintaining efficiency.
  • Respond to technical support questions from employees or departments facing technical difficulties.
  • Conduct training and guidance sessions on tools, IT security practices, and system usage as appropriate.
  • Document IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for reference.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends to recommend improvements.

 

Required skills and qualifications

  • BA bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrable experience as an IT specialist or in technical support, system analysis, network administration, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating system and network technologies, and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Suite a plus. 
  • Knowledge of mortgage industry software systems and platforms preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of network administration protocols, firewalls, and IT security best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (Microsoft Azure) and Proofpoint email filter.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
