East Coast Capital Corp. is seeking a Mortgage Post-Closer to join our growing operations team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, an excellent communicator, and thrives in a fast-paced mortgage environment. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring our closed loans are reviewed, packaged, and delivered accurately and efficiently to our investors with the goal of getting every loan purchased as quickly and smoothly as possible.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Review closed loan files for completeness and accuracy in preparation for investor delivery.
  • Assemble and package all post-closing documents for electronic delivery or shipment to investors.
  • Track and manage loan deliveries across multiple investors to ensure timely purchase.
  • Review and respond to investor suspense conditions, coordinating with internal departments (processors, underwriters, closers, funders, etc.) to obtain necessary documentation or corrections.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of investor delivery requirements, documentation standards, and purchase guidelines.
  • Monitor delivery and purchase timelines to help ensure maximum loan sale efficiency and minimize outstanding warehouse exposure.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with investors and internal team members to resolve issues quickly.
  • Take ownership of each assigned loan from post-closing through investor purchase - ensuring every file is delivered, cleared, and purchased as quickly and efficiently as possible.

 

Qualifications

 

  • 1-3 years of experience in mortgage post-closing or a related mortgage operations role preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Encompass a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in loan files.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to prioritize and manage multiple loans simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • This position is in-office only and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. 
  • Must be able to work standard business hours : Monday - Friday
